Indutex presents first (and only) Certified Class 3 Ensemble

Indutex S.p.A, a global leader in protective garments, announced today that it has received certification for its JetGuardPLUS Class 3 Ensemble under the NFPA 1994 (2007 Edition) standards for "Protective Ensembles for First Responders to CBRN Terrorism Incidents, Class 3". The new ensemble is a re-engineered version of the NFPA 1994 (2001 Edition) certified JetGuardPLUS Class 3 ensemble, which has proven extremely popular in the market worldwide in a variety of applications. That ensemble, made from Indutex's patented Tessaform material, is currently used in pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries, as well as gaining significant momentum in the market for First Responders and military applications.
“The new standards set the bar very high for garments used by first responders in the face of chemical, biological and radiological threats,” said George Gianforcaro, President of IndutexUSA, the North American affiliate of Indutex S.p.A. “We were very pleased that Indutex is the first, and only, company to be able to meet this challenge.” NFPA spent five years developing the new standards to meet the needs of law enforcement and emergency personnel in the wake of new threats in the post-9/11 world. |
